The Challenge:
The EV3 will act as our android that we will program to accomplish a variety of tasks. In our first challenge, we will build a bot with EV3 and program it through several obstacle courses. EV3 has no knowledge of these courses, instead you will use your programming skills to infuse artificial intelligence into EV3.

Before you Begin:
2. When you get your kit, make sure you give your teacher your kit number. Then, look through the kit to be sure you have the materials. If you do not have something please let your teacher know right away.

1. Start by building your basic car
- Follow the directions for the Damien Kee: Riley Rover Basic Car. STOP after you connect the cables (Left Motor B - Right Motor C)

2. Look at the Obstacle Course / Challenge Descriptions. Once you choose what you are going to do you can decide what you need to attach to your car.
3. Connect your iPad and your bot.
4. Program your bot to do what you need it to do.

5. Record your successful obstacle course run from start to finish.
6. Bring your recorded video and point sheet to your teacher to receive your earned points. Please note all directions must be followed to earn points. (example: Fire Drill: bot wheels must stop on the finish line, your bot must play a sound, and an image must appear on your bot to announce there is a fire drill.)
3. Connect your iPad and your bot.
- On your bot: Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. Scroll to the 4th tab on the top (the wrench). Make sure the Bluetooth box is checked. If it is not, scroll down and check it. iPhone/iPad/iPad must also be checked.
- On your iPad: When you are in a New Program on the app, click the upper right corner. Click "Connect" and select your bot from those listed.
- On your bot: click the checkmark to accept.
- On your iPad: Click "pair"
